MozParks General Manager Joins Mozambican Business Delegation at the 16th USA-Africa Business Summit
MozParks’ General Manager, Onorio Manuel, will be representing Mozambique as a member of the Mozambican Business Delegation at the 16th U.S.-Africa Business Summit in Dallas, Texas. This premier event, scheduled for [dates], will bring together over 1,500 public and private sector executives, Heads of State, international investors, government officials, and multilateral stakeholders.
The summit will serve as a platform to promote Mozambique and its wide array of business opportunities, with a particular focus on sectors such as agribusiness, energy, infrastructure, creative industries, finance, health, IT, and communications. Organized and led by CCMUSA and APIEX, the Mozambican delegation aims to showcase the country’s potential and foster valuable connections with global partners.
This participation underscores MozParks’ commitment to promoting economic growth and development in Mozambique and its investment potential on the global stage.
MozParks Holding is an official developer and operator of Sustainable Economic Zones in Mozambique. It is a public-private partnership between the Mozambican government’s Agency for Investment & Export Promotion (APIEX), and Swiss-Mozambican investors.
MozParks invests in, develops and operates Sustainable Economic Zones, including Eco-Industrial Parks, Agro Parks, Industrial Free Zones (IFZ) and Special Economic Zones (SEZ). It focuses on fostering youth employment, developing the green economy, stimulating entrepreneurship and attracting investments.
At the General Assembly of the Chamber of Commerce Mozambique – United States of America (CCMUSA) held on April 30, 2024, in Maputo, Onório Manuel, the General Manager of MozParks, was elected as the new President of the Chamber. At the same General Assembly, the Activity and Accounts Report for 2023 was presented and unanimously approved.
The governing bodies of the CCMUSA aim to meet the institutional needs of the Chamber, including its members and cooperation partners. The strategic objectives for the 2024-2027 triennium aim to enhance the value of the associates, making CCMUSA a reference and a driver of business development between Mozambique and the United States of America.
The governing bodies intend to continue consolidating the conditions for a reference institution based on its strategic pillars of operation across five (5) main spheres: business support service, relationship facilitator, internal training, digital transition and sustainability, and international cooperation.
