A high-level German business delegation, led by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) through the Investment and Technology Promotion Office (ITPO) Germany, visited Beluluane Industrial Park this week as part of a private sector mission to Mozambique. The 15-member delegation, representing various sectors of the German private industry, explored the dynamic investment opportunities that Mozambique has to offer.
Adrian Frey, Chairman of the Board of Directors at MozParks, welcomed the delegation and provided an in-depth overview of MozParks’ crucial role in driving industrial growth and sustainable development in Mozambique. During their tour, the delegation visited some of the key companies within Beluluane Industrial Park, including Raxio, ETG, Bosch Rexroth and Duys, where they gained valuable insights into the robust industrial ecosystem of the park.
“This visit is an extension of our ongoing cooperation with UNIDO as we continue to collaborate closely to promote sustainable industrialization in Mozambique,” said Adrian Frey. “Strengthening our ties with international stakeholders is essential, and this visit underscores our commitment to leading industrial development in the country.”
MozParks, being part of ASEZA (African Special Economic Zones Alliance), underscores its broader mission, as ASEZA aims to develop 50 industrial parks across Africa, modeled after the successful developments of Beluluane and Topuito parks.
The delegation also attended FACIM to further explore investment opportunities across Mozambique.
During their visit to Mozambique to attend the annual FACIM trade show, a Brazilian business delegation began their exploration of the country’s industrial sector at the Industrialization Pavilion. Hosted by Onorio Manuel, General Director of MozParks, the delegation was introduced to the company’s significant role in advancing industrial growth and fostering sustainable development in Mozambique.
