Industrial Association of Mozambique and Beluluane Industrial Park sign partnership

The Industrial Association of Mozambique (AIMO) and the Beluluane Industrial Park (BIP) signed on Tuesday, November 24th, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at creating special conditions for access to a full spectrum of benefits for investors, offered by BIP to AIMO members.

One of the main goals of this partnership is to create complete solutions for the investor, that is, investment opportunities offered by BIP such as: Industrial spaces; Business Liaison Programs; Eligibility to the Industrial Free Trade Zone; Tax and Customs Benefits; Access to Electricity; Road access; Warehouses; Infrastructure Development; and Skills Development Training.

Rogério Samo Gudo, President of AIMO, Articulated that the partnership signed today is aimed at providing access to  AIMO members to benefit from the conditions that BIP has in its existing park, as well as those still to be created across the country. As you may know, BIP is currently developing the best possible operating conditions, including infrastructure development and the environment ambient, to allow companies and their operations to flourish. Therefore, we have no doubt that this partnership will catalyze the ongoing efforts, and objective to put Mozambique en-route to greater industrialization, whilst also supporting the well-being of industrial employees.

Onorio Boane, the General Manager of the Beluluane Industrial Park, also added that “the main objective of this partnership is to provide access to the investment opportunities generated by BIP for companies affiliated to AIMO. In this context, we will offer special modalities to all member companies to access BIP. We are hugely optimistic about this partnership due to BIP’s ability to accommodate any industrial or service company. We see AIMO companies having great potential to establish themselves within our current Industrial Park and those to be created in the near future.”

Beluluane Industrial Park implement digital centre in Matola-Rio

The Beluluane Industrial Park (BIP) and the Boane District Government signed on Monday, 2nd November 2020, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that establishes a new relationship between the Boane District Government and BIP. On Monday’s event donations of IT equipment and the provision of free internet service at the Matola-Rio Administrative Post were also officialised.

The MoU signed by the two parties is an important step as part of the growth of the local community and should contribute to the effectiveness of the district’s public administration. Among the equipment and services donated by BIP to the Matola-Rio Administrative Post, the laptop, the printer and the provision of free internet will be very important to facilitate and streamline the delivery of public services provided by the administrative post to the local community, including companies based in the region.

The Administrator of the Boane District, Teresa Helena Boaventura Mauaie, praised the importance of partnerships between the government and the private sector: “This MoU shows us that public entities should not only rely on the state budget; we also have to invest more in partnerships with the private sector. The gesture made by BIP is to be commended and shows that the company is interested in contributing to the growth and development of local communities, as well as the district in general.”

BIP is working in a range of areas with the aim of supporting the development of the country, the province of Maputo and the District of Boane (where the park is located), including the creation of more than 500 jobs in 2020, the provision of more than 300 paid professional internships for young people in the province of Maputo, the donation of hospital equipment and protective materials for health professionals to the Provincial Directorate of Health to help the Covid-19 response, among others.

“We want to make it possible for young people who live close to the Matola Rio Administrative Post to have access to the internet for their studies and professional needs, allowing them, from time to time, to benefit from the free internet service that will now be provided by BIP”, declared Onório Boane, General Manager of the Beluluane Industrial Park.
