At MozParks, we deeply value our partnership with the Government of Mozambique, as together we drive industrial development and long-term economic growth. This collaboration is central to strengthening value chains, boosting exports, and creating new jobs across the country.
This week, we had the honour of welcoming the Minister of Economy and Finance, Basílio Zefanias Muhate, for his official visit to the Beluluane Industrial Park. Visits like this are more than symbolic, they provide vital opportunities to align priorities, showcase tangible progress, and reinforce our shared commitment to transforming Mozambique’s economy.
During the visit, the Minister toured several strategic factories inside the park, including Midal, and Beleza which is currently our largest employer with over 3,000 staff. Each stop offered a firsthand demonstration of the industrial capacity, investment models and job profiles that are being developed within Beluluane Industrial Park.
Minister Muhate highlighted the importance of strong public-private collaboration and reinforced the critical role industrial parks play within Mozambique’s economic strategy—echoing our belief that sustained cooperation is essential to scale impact and expand industrial development nationwide. Building on our successful management of both Beluluane and Topuito Industrial Parks, we have now been mandated by the Government to develop and oversee more than 20 additional industrial parks across the country. We aim to replicate the success of these parks throughout Mozambique, attracting new investment, growing industrial capacity, and creating thousands of new jobs for Mozambicans.
“Beluluane is a strong example of how industrial parks can transform communities by generating thousands of jobs and supporting tens of thousands of families. Our mission now is to extend this impact across the country. It was a privilege to welcome the Minister and share our vision. With continued collaboration between Government and the private sector, we can accelerate industrial development and bring lasting benefits to Mozambique.” said Manuel

Industrialization continues to reshape not only Mozambique but Africa as a whole, creating jobs, unlocking opportunities, and transforming communities into engines of growth. MozParks recently had the privilege of joining the Mozambican delegation to share this vision on the international stage at the Fifth Edition of the Turkey–Africa Business and Economic Forum (TABEF 2025) in Istanbul, Turkey.
Jointly organized by the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Turkey, the African Union Commission (AUC), and the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEİK), TABEF 2025 brought together leaders and innovators committed to advancing Africa’s economic transformation. MozParks was invited as a distinguished speaker for the panel “Financing Infrastructure Needs of Africa: Turkey’s Build-Operate-Transfer Experience as a Model for Africa’s Infrastructure Development.”
At the panel, MozParks Chairman Adrian Frey emphasized that the organization’s mission extends far beyond infrastructure, it is about building an environment where businesses thrive and communities prosper. Frey shared MozParks’ expansion strategy to develop 20 industrial parks across Mozambique, ensuring that every province has a dedicated space to attract investment, create jobs, and foster inclusive industrial growth.
Using Beluluane Industrial Park as a model, Frey highlighted the tangible impact industrialization can have on local communities. Today, Beluluane supports 10,000 jobs and generates income for over 100,000 people, serving as a powerful example of how industrial parks can drive sustainable development. MozParks now aims to replicate this success across the country, multiplying opportunities, strengthening local supply chains, and opening new doors for entrepreneurs and investors alike.
“An industrial park is, in essence, an ecosystem: it connects investors with opportunities, suppliers with markets, and people with jobs,” said Frey. “This new framework is a milestone for Mozambique. It ensures that large-scale projects generate real local content by sourcing goods and services from within the country, while industrial parks provide the structure, standards, and oversight that make this possible.”

For MozParks, industrialization is more than economic progress, it’s a movement that connects people to opportunity. Each new park represents a step toward a more resilient and diversified Mozambican economy, one that empowers communities and positions the nation as a growing force in Africa’s industrial landscape.
