ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

Amongst many community projects and partnerships, Moz Parks has committed to the empowerment of a work-ready youth in Mozambique. Its internship programme, namely Mimi Niko Kazi, which translates to “I am at work" was initiated in 2018 with the aim of connecting qualified young women and men with employers. The programme helps companies identify, train and recruit employees. Over 50% of our participants have found their first jobs at the end of their internships, getting them started in promising careers.

The Mimi Niko Kazi Youth Employment Programme provides a link between employers and work-ready candidates. Our programme offers practical internships for young Mozambicans, especially women. We ensure that they receive work-readiness, soft-skills, health & safety training training before they start working in practical internships.

TESTIMONIALS

The Mimi Niko Kazi project gave us young people an opportunity to work for the very first time. Interning at Afrox gas not only expanded my knowledge but provided practical skills in Finance. Thanks to the project I had the opportunity to gain professional work experience and showcase my skills.

Finance and Banking management Intern
The Mimi Niko Kazi Project changed my life because I had a qualification, but I had no work opportunities. The project served in bridging the gap between us and the labor market and made it possible for employers to see our potential. The whole experience gave me hope for a better future.
