MozParks recently participated in the Business Mission to Doha, Qatar, alongside over 20 Mozambican companies from key sectors including agriculture, industry, transportation, logistics, communications, trade, and services. Held from September 14th to 17th, 2024, the mission aimed to attract foreign investments and establish strategic partnerships to strengthen economic ties between Mozambique and Qatar.
MozParks promotes industrial development in Mozambique

During the Qatar-Mozambique Investment Forum, Onório Manuel, General Director of MozParks, emphasized the critical role MozParks plays in advancing Mozambique’s industrial sector. In his presentation, Manuel stated, “MozParks is proud to lead the development of industrial parks in Mozambique. Our mission is to create sustainable economic zones that promote industrial growth, generate jobs, and attract international partnerships that drive Mozambique’s broader economic development.”
Key focus on industrial collaboration and investment opportunities
The Qatar-Mozambique Investment Forum, co-organized by the Confederation of Business Associations of Mozambique (CTA), the Embassy of Mozambique in Qatar, APIEX, the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI), and the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC), brought together more than 20 business leaders from Mozambique. These leaders explored new opportunities for collaboration and investment, particularly in sectors such as industrial development, agro-industry, energy, and logistics.

Strengthening economic ties through strategic visits
As part of the mission, the Mozambican delegation visited several major Qatari enterprises, including Qatar Petroleum, Qatar Financial Center, and BALADNA, Qatar’s largest producer of fresh dairy products. These visits highlighted the potential for future partnerships in industrial development, agro-processing, and energy, further enhancing the economic relationship between Mozambique and Qatar.
Advancing Mozambique’s industrial growth
The successful completion of the Qatar-Mozambique Investment Forum marks a significant milestone in boosting trade and investment between the two nations. MozParks remains dedicated to building on these discussions and developing strategic partnerships that will continue to foster industrial growth, job creation, and sustainable economic development in Mozambique.

He will present MozParks’ vision and highlight its leading role in driving sustainable industrial development in Mozambique through its eco-industrial parks.
The forum aims to strengthen alliances between Mozambique and Qatar by fostering business opportunities, investments, and partnerships. Mozambican and Qatari companies will exchange experiences and explore mutual interests, particularly in employment and agricultural products. The event is organized by APIEX, CTA, the Embassy of Mozambique in Qatar, the Qatar Chamber, and Qatar Airways.
In addition to the forum, the delegation will conduct site visits to prominent Qatari businesses, including the Qatar Financial Center, Qatar Chamber, and Qatar Petroleum, with the goal of expanding investment ties and learning from their successful models.
