MozParks CEO and Vice-President of the Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique (CTA), Onório Manuel, is participating in a Mozambican business mission to the United States aimed at strengthening investment, trade and strategic business partnerships between the two countries.
Taking place from 3 to 7 August 2026 in Houston and Washington, D.C., the mission brings together more than 30 Mozambican business leaders, including MozParks, and focuses particularly on opportunities connected to the oil and gas sector, local-content development and the integration of Mozambican companies into supply chains and downstream.
During the U.S.–Mozambique Business Forum in Houston, Manuel highlighted that Mozambique is not only seeking investment, but strategic partnerships capable of supporting the development of the industries that will shape the country’s economic future.
“Mozambique’s strategic position on the Indian Ocean, its access to regional and continental markets through SADC and the African Continental Free Trade Area, and the strength of the Maputo, Beira and Nacala corridors give the country a clear competitive advantage. Our energy resources must now be used as a platform for industrialisation, stronger national value chains, job creation and greater participation by Mozambican companies in major investment projects,” said Manuel.
The mission is particularly relevant to MozParks as the company is establishing industrial parks and logistics bases in Cabo Delgado, the province at the centre of Mozambique’s growing LNG industry. The development of these platforms is intended to help companies establish operations closer to project sites, improve access to infrastructure and logistics services, and create more structured opportunities for Mozambican businesses to participate in supply chains associated with the energy sector.
The U.S.–Mozambique Business Forum was organised by CTA in partnership with the Texas-Africa Chamber of Commerce, the Embassy of Mozambique in the United States and Mozambique’s Investment and Export Promotion Agency, APIEX.

During the forum, CTA and the Texas-Africa Chamber of Commerce signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at promoting bilateral investment and trade and facilitating strategic partnerships between Mozambican and American companies.
