MozParks hosts Evolen Energy in Beluluane Industrial Park

MozParks welcomed Evolen Energy at Beluluane Industrial Park (BIP) this week, for a visit focused on strengthening collaboration and exploring new opportunities tied to Mozambique’s evolving industrial landscape, especially the major initiatives in Cabo Delgado.

During the visit, the MozParks team guided the delegation through key facilities, including ETG and Midal Cables, offering a first-hand view of how the park’s integrated model brings together industry, government, and communities to enable structured and sustainable industrial growth. Conversations throughout the tour focused on local content, supplier development, and opportunities to support the industrialisation of northern Mozambique, with a special focus on the Cabo Delgado Parks initiative and the development of six industrial parks across the province.

In alignment with this vision, the Provincial Government has recently approved a new legal framework, i.e. a zoning policy that requires suppliers and service providers linked to anchor projects in the extractive industry to operate from designated industrial parks and logistics bases. This regulatory milestone ensures that industrial activities grow in an organized, secure, and properly serviced environment where infrastructure, safety, and services are delivered in a coordinated way.

Evolen Energy expressed strong interest in how this new framework will shape opportunities for local businesses and enhance community-level development. The delegation also received a presentation on the MozParks model, highlighting how the structured approach successfully implemented at BIP will guide the creation and operation of industrial parks in Cabo Delgado.

President of Zimbabwe Emmerson Mnangagwa Visits Beluluane Industrial Park

Beluluane Industrial Park (BIP) recently had the privilege of hosting the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Mnangagwa, as part of his State Visit to Mozambique. This visit is a key part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation between neighbouring countries, focusing on boosting regional industrial growth and creating shared economic opportunities.

President Mnangagwa was warmly welcomed by our  leadership team, led by General Director Onório Manuel. During the visit, Manuel shared insights into BIP’s development strategy, investment potential, and future expansion plans, showcasing how modern industrial parks are essential for fostering joint manufacturing ventures, strengthening supply chains, advancing skills development, and increasing local content.

The delegation witness the scale and diversity of activity within the Park firsthand. Today, Beluluane Industrial Park hosts more than 70 companies, provides over 10,000 direct jobs, and indirectly supports over 100,000 livelihoods  showcasing its critical role in Mozambique’s industrial landscape and the wider region’s economic integration.

“Beluluane stands as a powerful example of how an industrial park can drive inclusive growth,” said Manuel. “The President’s visit highlights the growing interest from neighbouring countries in exploring practical partnerships that benefit businesses, employees, and local communities alike.”

President Mnangagwa expressed satisfaction with the Park’s progress, noting his previous visits and his pleasure in seeing the continued expansion. His tour included a visit to ETG Steel Solutions, one of the Park’s flagship heavy-industry companies, specialising in transforming raw steel into finished products that meet the highest international standards.

Gregor Binkert, Board Member of ASEZA ,a MozParks shareholder and prominent developer of industrial parks across Africa, emphasised the importance of the visit: “The President’s presence reaffirms the vital role industrial parks like Beluluane play in accelerating industrialisation and fostering regional economic collaboration.”
