MozParks and MozYouth recently participated in the RenMoz 2025 conference, hosted by the Lusophone Renewable Energy Association (ALER) in partnership with the Mozambican Renewable Energy Association (AMER) in Maputo, Mozambique. Intending to discuss Mozambique’s transition toward renewable energy and sustainable industrialization, the event brought together government representatives, private sector leaders, development partners, and innovators to explore strategies for an inclusive green transition.
We were represented by our General Director, Onório Manuel, who highlighted MozParks’ commitment to implementing clean energy solutions to Mozambican industry and discussed the crucial role that industrial parks, including Beluluane Industrial Park, play as drivers of sustainable economic growth.
Manuel also detailed MozParks’ strategy to secure reliable renewable energy through strategic initiatives and partnerships: “It’s not enough to provide infrastructure alone. We must combine it with the right support services like technical assistance, green incubators, and partnership with training centers. This is how we help our tenant companies adopt environmentally responsible technologies and drive real change.”
Vanessa Muteia, Member of the Management Committee at MozYouth, discussed the correlation between economic development and youth employment, highlighting MozYouth’s efforts to prepare young Mozambicans to take advantage of opportunities in the renewable energy and green industrial sectors through technical training programs, internships, mentorships, and strategic partnerships.

One of MozParks’ core values is working towards a sustainable industrial future. In line with this commitment, we recently hosted another important workshop for our tenants at Beluluane Industrial Park (BIP), led by AQUA (Agência Nacional para o Controlo da Qualidade Ambiental) and with the participation of APIEX and moderated by our colleague, Edilson Madime, Business Developer at MozParks.
The main objective of this workshop was to guide the park companies on best practices related to environmental responsibility within the park. It provided tenants with the necessary tools and strategies to enhance their contribution to environmental quality and improve performance in occupational health and safety.
Edilson Madime emphasized this approach: “At MozParks, we are committed to providing integrated solutions that go beyond infrastructure. Our mission is to create an environment where companies can focus on growing their businesses while being supported in areas such as compliance, sustainability, and operational excellence. Workshops like this one are a reflection of how we work together with our tenants to ensure that industrial growth goes hand in hand with environmental responsibility.”
We thank all participants, as well as AQUA and APIEX, for their valuable contributions to this important discussion and look forward to continuing these collaborative efforts to drive sustainable industrial development at Beluluane Industrial Park.
