Empowering the Next Generation: Student Visit to Beluluane Industrial Park

At MozParks, we understand that the future of our industries depends on the young minds of today. That’s why we’re always eager to create opportunities that connect education with real-world experience, helping to bridge the gap between the classroom and the workplace. In keeping with this mission, we recently had the pleasure of welcoming 29 students from the Instituto Industrial e de Computação Armando Emílio Guebuza to Beluluane Industrial Park.

The students, ranging from 17 to 19 years old, had the unique opportunity to visit two of our esteemed park tenants—Temoc and Bosch Rexroth. During their visit, they were able to see how these companies operate up close, gaining hands-on experience in mechanics and electricity. They had the chance to witness the inner workings of these businesses, allowing them to connect theoretical knowledge with practical application.

But the experience didn’t stop there. To complement their learning, the MozParks team also facilitated a job readiness training session, designed to give the students a deeper understanding of what it takes to succeed in today’s competitive job market. The training focused on essential skills and professional development, preparing them for future challenges they might face as they transition from students to professionals.

At MozParks, we are committed to fostering this kind of engagement. We believe that investing in the next generation is crucial to driving sustainable economic growth and ensuring that Mozambique continues to thrive. We are proud to be part of initiatives that not only inspire young people but also provide them with the tools they need to succeed.

We look forward to welcoming more students and young professionals to Beluluane Industrial Park, and we remain dedicated to creating meaningful opportunities that contribute to the development of Mozambique’s workforce and economy.

FACIM 2024 Opens with spotlight on Industrialization Pavilion

Maputo, Mozambique – August 26, 2024 – FACIM 2024 officially opened today, with the Industrialization Pavilion, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce in partnership with APIEX and MozParks, standing out as a new addition to the fair. The Pavilion emphasizes the critical role of industrialization in driving Mozambique’s economic growth and sustainability.

The opening day was marked by a visit from His Excellency Filipe Nyusi, the President of Mozambique, who engaged with industry leaders and exhibitors. The President’s presence underscored the government’s commitment to fostering industrial development as a cornerstone of the nation’s progress.

Exhibitor Highlights and Strategic Partnerships

Throughout the day, the Industrialization Pavilion attracted a wide range of visitors eager to explore advancements in Mozambique’s industrial sector. Exhibitors such as Mozal, Midal Cables, SMM, FURA Gems, GAPI, Fesco, Duys Mozambique and others showcased their contributions to the country’s industrial progress.

RAXIO, the Pavilion’s official technology partner, and EMOSE, the official insurance partner, played key roles in highlighting the importance of technology and risk management in building a resilient and sustainable industrial landscape.

“We are encouraged by the strong interest shown on the first day of FACIM 2024,” said Adrian Frey, Chairman of the Board of Directors at MozParks. “The Industrialization Pavilion is already proving to be a central attraction, and we are excited to see the collaboration and innovation on display.”

General Director of APIEX, Gil Bires, added, “The interest in the Industrialization Pavilion reflects the growing recognition of Mozambique’s potential in the industrial sector. We are proud to facilitate this initiative, which showcases the opportunities for investment and growth within our country.”

Youth employment and cultural engagement

The Youth Employment Area, led by MozYouth, was a popular stop for young professionals seeking to enhance their career prospects. The area offered resume reviews, interview preparation, and psychometric testing, providing valuable resources for navigating the labor market.

Visitors also enjoyed the Tasting Area, where they sampled authentic Mozambican flavors, including coconut water, sugar cane juice, and locally sourced coffees. This cultural experience, supported by EMOSE, Kenmare, and Mozal, added a unique dimension to the Pavilion, making it a favorite among attendees.

FACIM 2024 continues through September 1, with operating hours from 9h to 18h, Monday through Thursday, and from 9h to 20h, Friday through Sunday.
