MozParks and MozYouth recently participated in the RenMoz 2025 conference, hosted by the Lusophone Renewable Energy Association (ALER) in partnership with the Mozambican Renewable Energy Association (AMER) in Maputo, Mozambique. Intending to discuss Mozambique’s transition toward renewable energy and sustainable industrialization, the event brought together government representatives, private sector leaders, development partners, and innovators to explore strategies for an inclusive green transition.
We were represented by our General Director, Onório Manuel, who highlighted MozParks’ commitment to implementing clean energy solutions to Mozambican industry and discussed the crucial role that industrial parks, including Beluluane Industrial Park, play as drivers of sustainable economic growth.
Manuel also detailed MozParks’ strategy to secure reliable renewable energy through strategic initiatives and partnerships: “It’s not enough to provide infrastructure alone. We must combine it with the right support services like technical assistance, green incubators, and partnership with training centers. This is how we help our tenant companies adopt environmentally responsible technologies and drive real change.”
Vanessa Muteia, Member of the Management Committee at MozYouth, discussed the correlation between economic development and youth employment, highlighting MozYouth’s efforts to prepare young Mozambicans to take advantage of opportunities in the renewable energy and green industrial sectors through technical training programs, internships, mentorships, and strategic partnerships.
