Chinese Investment Interest Grows: Yucheng Group Visits Beluluane Industrial Park to Explore Opportunities in Mozambique

Mozambique continues to draw the attention of international investors seeking to build the industries of tomorrow, and this week, MozParks had the pleasure of welcoming a high-level delegation from Yucheng Group, a Chinese company with operations across the United States, Europe, and Australia, to Beluluane Industrial Park.

This was Yucheng’s first official visit to Mozambique, and their choice to begin at Beluluane is a strong signal of growing global interest in the country’s potential as a strategic industrial hub in Southern Africa.

During the visit, Yucheng Group expressed interest in establishing a non-ferrous metal recycling industrial park in Mozambique. The proposed investment would focus on sustainable industrialization, leveraging Mozambique’s logistical advantages and growing industrial base. The delegation was received by MozParks’ General Director, Onório Manuel, and taken through the operational model of Beluluane Industrial Park.

The discussion centered on how MozParks supports investors through ready-to-use industrial infrastructure, regulatory facilitation, and integration into national economic development goals. Yucheng’s potential investment is aligned with Mozambique’s ambition to position itself as a regional leader in green industry and circular economy practices.

3,000 New Jobs: Catalyzing Local Employment Through Industry

One of the most significant elements of the proposal is its job creation potential. Yucheng Group’s vision includes the creation of over 3,000 direct jobs.

This aligns closely with MozParks’ core mission: to drive inclusive industrial growth and enable large-scale employment across Mozambique’s provinces. Industrial parks like Beluluane not only provide infrastructure but also unlock pathways for skills development, local supply chains, and long-term economic inclusion.

MozParks at 2025 U.S.–Africa Summit in Luanda

MozParks will join the Mozambican delegation at the 2025 edition of the U.S.–Africa Business Summit, taking place from June 22 to 25 in Luanda. The summit is organized by the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) in collaboration with the Government of Angola. It will bring together government leaders, private sector executives, and development partners. The goal is to explore new trade and investment opportunities between the United States and African nations.

MozParks’ General Manager, Onório Manuel, will participate in the “Invest in Mozambique” panel, where he will present the company’s contribution to the country’s industrialization agenda and highlight opportunities available for foreign investors. Speaking alongside other national representatives, Manuel will outline how Mozambique is positioning itself as a competitive investment destination, highlighting the infrastructure and business environment that MozParks has developed across its industrial parks.

Onório Manuel presenting at last-year’s summit in Dallas, Texas

This marks the second consecutive year that MozParks is participating in the U.S.–Africa Business Summit, following its 2024 appearance in Dallas, Texas. The company’s continued presence at this high-level forum reflects its commitment to positioning Mozambique as a strategic investment destination and to building long-term international partnerships that support the country’s development goals.

This year’s summit, themed “Partnering for Sustainable Growth,” will bring together over 1,500 participants, including Heads of State, ministers, CEOs, and investors. In particular, the agenda will feature national forums such as “Invest in Mozambique,” alongside sector-focused discussions on energy, health, digital transformation, infrastructure, and finance.

MozParks’ participation at this year’s summit reflects its continued commitment to promoting Mozambique’s economic potential on the international stage and attracting strategic partnerships that can accelerate the country’s development priorities.
