Communities thrive when opportunities reach their doors, and at Beluluane Industrial Park (BIP), MozParks is making that vision a reality. As we expand and grow, it is always inspiring to welcome leaders who share our mission of using industrial development to empower local people, create jobs, and strengthen Boane’s economy. This month, Administrator Lázaro Manuel Bambamba visited the park, received by our General Director, Onório Manuel, to see firsthand how industry and community progress go hand in hand.

From interacting with employees to stepping into high-tech facilities, the Administrator got a close-up look at the wide range of industries operating in the park. He visited companies like Fesco, RA, Beleza, Laresh, and Raxio, each with its own story of growth and innovation. 

What stood out most was the conversation about the future. The Administrator emphasized his priorities for Boane, focusing on creating opportunities for young people, promoting industrial expansion, and the importance of building partnerships that foster sustainable growth. He proposed closer collaboration with MozParks to launch joint initiatives aimed at youth empowerment through cultural, educational, and sports programs.

“Beluluane Industrial Park is a model for what we hope to achieve in Boane,” he said. “Even on a smaller scale, we want to give our youth opportunities that add value to their lives and strengthen our local economy. Working with MozParks, we will create initiatives that inform and inspire young people in our community.”

The Mozambique Gas & Energy Summit (MGES) brought together leaders and industry players to reflect on how large-scale LNG projects can support industrialisation and inclusive growth in the country. Among the leaders joining the discussion was MozParks’ CEO, Onorio Manuel, who shared the company’s vision for building sustainable industrial platforms in Cabo Delgado.

Manuel shared how the province is preparing to host four industrial parks and two logistics bases through the Cabo Delgado Parks initiative, designed to create opportunities for local production, improve supply chain resilience, and generate new jobs for Mozambicans. “By consolidating suppliers in well-structured platforms, we reduce risks, lower costs, and ensure that local content targets are achieved in practice,” he explained, underlining the role of industrial parks in providing a stable and competitive environment for investors.

This year’s Summit was a good opportunity to look at the new legal framework, introduced by the Provincial Government of Cabo Delgado last year, which requires suppliers to the oil and gas industry to be based within designated industrial areas.
