On September 27, MozParks proudly participated in World Cleanup Day, hosting a cleanup event along Av. Da Marginal and within Beluluane Industrial Park. This initiative underscored the vital role of teamwork in tackling environmental challenges and promoting community involvement.
Our dedicated team of employees, representing both genders equally, united under a common goal: to raise awareness about pollution and take tangible steps to improve our surroundings. We collected 14 bags of waste, including glass, plastic, paper, and various other litter from the public roads surrounding MozParks facilities in Beluluane and Triunfo area.

The impact of our efforts extended beyond the volume of waste collected; it fostered a strong spirit of collaboration among employees, highlighting the power of collective action in addressing environmental issues and reinforcing the importance of sustainable practices, leaving a lasting impact on the community’s environmental footprint.
The cleanup also served as an educational platform, raising awareness about waste management and environmental conservation.
This local action is part of a larger global effort, as World Cleanup Day 2023 saw approximately 19 million people from 198 countries come together to collect a staggering 219,000 tonnes of waste. This impressive achievement reflects a growing collective commitment to environmental stewardship, emphasizing how each individual’s efforts contribute to a broader movement for change.
MozParks is honored to be part of this global initiative, demonstrating a strong commitment to fostering a cleaner and more sustainable future for all. Together, we can make a meaningful impact on our environment and inspire others to take action in their communities.
MozParks recently participated in the Business Mission to Doha, Qatar, alongside over 20 Mozambican companies from key sectors including agriculture, industry, transportation, logistics, communications, trade, and services. Held from September 14th to 17th, 2024, the mission aimed to attract foreign investments and establish strategic partnerships to strengthen economic ties between Mozambique and Qatar.
MozParks promotes industrial development in Mozambique

During the Qatar-Mozambique Investment Forum, Onório Manuel, General Director of MozParks, emphasized the critical role MozParks plays in advancing Mozambique’s industrial sector. In his presentation, Manuel stated, “MozParks is proud to lead the development of industrial parks in Mozambique. Our mission is to create sustainable economic zones that promote industrial growth, generate jobs, and attract international partnerships that drive Mozambique’s broader economic development.”
Key focus on industrial collaboration and investment opportunities
The Qatar-Mozambique Investment Forum, co-organized by the Confederation of Business Associations of Mozambique (CTA), the Embassy of Mozambique in Qatar, APIEX, the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI), and the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC), brought together more than 20 business leaders from Mozambique. These leaders explored new opportunities for collaboration and investment, particularly in sectors such as industrial development, agro-industry, energy, and logistics.

Strengthening economic ties through strategic visits
As part of the mission, the Mozambican delegation visited several major Qatari enterprises, including Qatar Petroleum, Qatar Financial Center, and BALADNA, Qatar’s largest producer of fresh dairy products. These visits highlighted the potential for future partnerships in industrial development, agro-processing, and energy, further enhancing the economic relationship between Mozambique and Qatar.
Advancing Mozambique’s industrial growth
The successful completion of the Qatar-Mozambique Investment Forum marks a significant milestone in boosting trade and investment between the two nations. MozParks remains dedicated to building on these discussions and developing strategic partnerships that will continue to foster industrial growth, job creation, and sustainable economic development in Mozambique.
