Governor of Nampula, Eduardo Abdula, visited the Mozal-Beluluane Industrial Park for the first time since taking office in January. This was a significant visit, as the Kenmare-Topuito Industrial Park has created 2,500 jobs and supported the income of over 25,000 Mozambicans, contributing to local economic growth and community development through the ongoing operations led by MozParks.
To emphasize the impact of the Mozal-Beluluane Industrial Park, Onorio Manuel highlighted that the park has already generated 10,000 jobs and serves as a source of income for over 100,000 people and with the Mozambican government’s mandate to develop 20 industrial parks across different provinces, the potential for large-scale job creation is immense. This initiative represents a transformative opportunity for economic growth and community development across the country.
During the visit, Governor Abdula interacted with the leaders and employees of some companies in the park, including Duys Moçambique and Beleza Moçambique. He expressed great appreciation for youth employment and local workforce initiatives. In addition to touring the companies, the Governor attended a presentation explaining MozParks’ supplier-park model which helped him understand better how the park operates.
“MozParks is dedicated to expanding its network of sustainable economic zones, ensuring more Mozambicans have access to stable jobs and economic opportunities,” said Onorio Manuel. “The success of Mozal – Beluluane Industrial Park demonstrates how industrialization can transform communities, and we are eager to expand this model to other provinces, ensuring that every new park serves as a catalyst for economic growth and job creation.”
