On Wednesday, January 27, two members of the Beluluane Industrial Park (BIP), Evaristo Madime and Onório Manuel, were appointed in the positions of President and Vice President of CTA’s Industrial Task force, an act witnessed by the Minister of Industry and Commerce, His Excellency Carlos Mesquita.
CTA is a non-governmental, non-partisan economic organization whose mission is to contribute to the economic and social development of Mozambique. Led by the CTA president, Agostinho Vuma, the current leadership was restructured, and new Task forces were created, going from 13 from the previous term to 19 in the current term. These task forces will be representing the different sectors of Mozambique’s economic and business activity.
The Task forces are basic bodies for dialogue between the private sector and the Government. The Industrial body, which was previously part of the Department of Commerce and Services, was separated to allow focus on the country’s current industrialization agenda.
At the head of this Task force there are now two members of the Beluluane Industrial Park team, Evaristo Madime, who is a member of the Park’s Board of Directors, who takes over the Presidency and Onório Manuel, General Manager of BIP, who takes on the Vice-Presidency of Manufacturing industry.
“We are committed to promoting debate and reflection that ensure the development of the national industry, throughout its value chain” stated Onório Manuel, General Manager of BIP and Vice President of the Industrial Task force.
The representative of the Park also stressed that they will provide technical advice to the other bodies on matters related to national and regional industry.
