The Secretary of State Henriques Bongece, was accompanied by a delegation of provincial government officials on a visit to Beluluane Industrial Park, as they were introduced to the work led by MozParks and the role industrial parks play in supporting Mozambique’s economic growth. During the presentation by Onorio Manuel, General Director of MozParks, outlined how the parks operate and the impacts that they have in the surrounding communities.
The visit continued with a tour to Sunshine Nuts, where CEO Don Larson welcomed the delegation and shared the company’s journey in Mozambique, highlighting both its successes and challenges. Mr. Larson also guided the group through the facility, explaining the production process in detail.
The next visit was to Beleza, part of Godrej Group, the largest employer within the Beluluane Industrial Park. With the highest number of employees in the park, Beleza plays a key role in the 10,000 jobs created at the site. General Manager Bharani Ganesh and his team led the delegation through the production site, offering insight into the company’s operations and its contribution to local industrial development.
As the visit concluded, Bongece expressed his gratitude to the MozParks team for the ongoing efforts. He emphasized the importance of creating opportunities for young people and highlighted the power of collaboration in driving sustainable growth.
