In a significant step towards advancing economic growth and industrialization, MozParks’ General Director, Onorio Manuel, together with the management of CPMZ Pipeline Mocambique, met this week with the Governor of Manica Province, Francisca Domingos Tomás, in Manica. The meeting focused on discussing strategies for the development of industrial parks in the province, exploring opportunities to stimulate local economic development, create jobs, and drive sustainable growth.
The dialogue highlighted the potential for industrial parks to bring transformative changes to Manica, aligning with MozParks’ vision of supporting regional growth through the development of structured and inclusive industrial zones. Manuel shared insights on the supplier-based park model, which has successfully contributed to Maputo Province through Beluluane Industrial Park, generating over 10,000 jobs. The model, also known as ‘The Mozambican Way’, aims to create similar opportunities in Manica by creating business ecosystems that drive job creation and economic growth.
This meeting underscores MozParks’ commitment to developing 20 parks across the country and supporting the economic development of Mozambique.
