The newly appointed Resident Representative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Mr. Olamide Harrison, recently held a visit to Beluluane Industrial Park, a national reference point for industrial development. The visit aimed to gain firsthand insight into Mozambique’s policy framework, the park’s business-friendly environment, and to identify priority areas for dialogue with the Government of Mozambique.
During the visit, Mr. Harrison met with MozParks leadership to review the park’s history, governance framework, and operations. Discussions focused on the opportunities and constraints faced by the private sector in Mozambique’s current business environment, with particular emphasis on the role of the private sector in fiscal policy, economic growth, and reforms that contribute to a more enabling investment climate.
As part of the programme, Mr. Harrison also visited key facilities located within the park, including Mozal and Raxio, and toured both the free-zone and non-free-zone areas.
