As part of our ongoing efforts to attract foreign investors and position Mozambique as a competitive industrial destination, MozParks recently hosted a UK-based business delegation made up of companies actively operating across Africa. This visit, therefore, further reflects the growing global interest in Mozambique’s emerging industrial platforms.
Focusing on the LNG sector and eager to learn about the new industrial parks MozParks is developing in Cabo Delgado, the delegation toured Beluluane Industrial Park. Notably, this park now sets the benchmark for MozParks’ upcoming industrial platforms across the province.
In addition, the group reviewed the zoning policy that suppliers supporting the LNG projects in Cabo Delgado must follow. MozParks then explained how it develops its northern industrial parks in line with this framework, thereby creating a compliant, structured, and predictable environment for international companies entering the market.
Furthermore, the delegation visited Laresh, a long-standing tenant of Beluluane Industrial Park. Laresh’s work in metalworking and engineering of simple and heavy steel structures clearly showcases the type of industrial activity thriving within the Park.
About Cabo Delgado Parks and MozParks
Cabo Delgado Parks is an initiative led by the Provincial Government of Cabo Delgado in collaboration with MozParks, a developer and operator of Sustainable Economic Zones, established as a public-private partnership between the African Sustainable Economic Zones Alliance (ASEZA) and Mozambican Government Agency for Investment and Export Promotion (APIEX). MozParks manages parks in Maputo and Nampula, with plans for expansion into Cabo Delgado province. To date, MozParks has attracted over 70 companies from 20 countries, contributing to income generation for more than 120,000 people in Mozambique and securing over USD 4.2 billion in investments in the parks.
