The president of Switzerland Alain Berset and his wife Mrs. Muriel Zeender Berset met a Swiss business delegation in Maputo this morning, including MozParks, MSC Mediterranean Shipping Co, #MozambiqueLeafTobacco (MLT), Puma Energy, Swiss Solar Energy, Fundação MusiArte – Conservatório de Música e Arte dramática and #MwendoEngineering.
Adrian Frey, President of the #MozSwissChamber, told the guests that Switzerland has created over 200 000 direct and indirect jobs in Mozambique with the MLT being the biggest employer. “These are impressive numbers”, said Mr Frey, “but we can do more by working together between the private sector and the Swiss Government”. “The Swiss companies in Mozambique have become role models in job creation and sustainable future development,” he added.
