This week, MozParks had the honour of hosting the Ambassador of Kenya to Mozambique, Philip Mundia Githiora, for his first visit to the Beluluane Industrial Park. The visit, led by our General Director, Onorio Manuel, provided an opportunity to showcase the park’s model and the diversity of over 60 companies operating within it, which contribute to the creation of over 10,000 jobs.
During this visit, the Ambassador expressed his admiration for the scale of the Park and the success of the MozParks project. He also expressed the value of establishing a similar industrial park in Kenya and emphasised his strong belief in the development of Africa as a whole – a vision that is closely aligned with MozParks’ journey of supporting industrialisation and the creation of jobs in Mozambique.
The ambassador was given a guided tour of Sunshine Nuts, where he was warmly welcomed and taken through the entire production process, gaining insight into the company’s operations and social impact. The tour continued at Raxio Data Centre, for the presentation of the facilities and the high-calibre infrastructure available within the park.
We are proud to be recognised as an example of good practice and success, and will continue to lead the way on Mozambique’s industrialization journey.
